Rock Bridge Boys tennis advances to state final four

Rock Bridge boys tennis (18-1) defeated Joplin and Glendale high schools on Saturday to advance to its 13th consecutive state semifinal, according to coach Ben Loeb.

The Bruins took the first contest 5-0 against Joplin. Later, in the sectional final against Glendale, Rock Bridge won 5-2.

In the sectional final, Raymond Majors, Brian Baker, Harry Bozoian and Nate Horvit won their singles matches, and the doubles team of Baker and Bozoian clinched the victory against Glendale.

Rock Bridge is scheduled to return to action in Springfield, Mo. on Thursday, when it will take on Rockhurst (14-2) in the Class 2 state semifinal.
