COLUMBIA — A vehicle crashed into a high-voltage pole at Stadium Boulevard and Worley Street on Monday morning, causing a power outage and lanes to be closed.

Power was out for six customers as of 10:31 a.m., according to Water and Light's Electric Outage Map. Water and Light crews were still at the scene.

The Columbia Fire Department responded to the accident at 7:05 a.m.

Several southbound lanes were closed for about an hour while fire crews were on the scene, but traffic was still getting through, Capt. Lisa Todd, spokeswoman for the Fire Department, said.
