COLUMBIA — Construction will close a lane on Interstate 70 near Kingdom City overnight Wednesday.

According to a Missouri Department of Transportation news release, the work will close one eastbound lane of the highway at the 146.2 mile marker, just west of Kingdom City.

The closure is expected to begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday and should end by 6 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting. The eastbound passing lane will still be open.

During the closure, MoDOT will be doing emergency shoulder repairs and replacing a culvert pipe, according to the news release.
