A Reddit user asked about "good/cheap thrift stores or salvage stores" that sell used furniture around Columbia. 

We did some research and made a list of five thrift shops around Columbia that also sell used furniture and other items. Feel free to add your own in the comments below.

The Wardrobe 715 Park Ave., 442-3260

The Wardrobe is a volunteer-run organization that uses its sales profits to provide shoes and school clothing for families in need in Boone County. The store sells clothing and some home goods, all donated from Columbia residents.

Value Giant Thrift Shoppe 1810 Paris Road, 397-6781

This thrift shop offers secondhand clothing, accessories, furniture, antiques and more. The store supports the National Federation of the Blind with frequent donations.

Upscale Resale 1729 W. Broadway, 445-4803

This thrift shop sells secondhand clothing, accessories, books, housewares, furniture and more. It is a major fundraiser for Assistance League of Mid-Missouri, a nonprofit organization that develops, implements and funds philanthropic programs to help women and children in need in Columbia. Hours vary, so check online for details.

The Love Seat 19 Business Loop 70 E., 447-0200

This resale store sells used furniture and housewares at cheap prices. The store works with Love INC of Columbia, which provides some of its inventory to those in need around Columbia.

Frugal Finds 2800 Paris Road, 814-3030

This secondhand furniture and thrift shop is packed to the brim with home goods, furniture and antiques. Two of the thrift shops' locations recently merged into one large store, which is located on Paris Road.

The Salvation Army is a Christian organization that works to provide ministry and resources to those in need across the world. The second-hand store sells clothing, furniture, houseware, electronics and more. The organization spends 82 cents of every dollar to support missions across the country.

Goodwill 1405 Grindstone Parkway, 442-4050

Goodwill is a consignment shop that sells clothing, houseware, books, electronics and furniture. The MERS/Missouri Goodwill provides a variety of programs and services to help support its mission in helping those with employment barriers conquer those obstacles through career counseling, skills training, employment services and more.

CoMo Cares 1301 Vandiver Drive, Suite K, 356-3228

CoMO Cares' Resource Center is a resale store with items for children ages 5 and under, as well as a referral center for families in Columbia that are in need of resources. CoMo Cares is partners with Parents as Teachers, First Chance for Children, Love INC and Voluntary Action Center.
