The Missourian Minute is a regular video series of scenes from around mid-Missouri. These visual slices of life capture the sights and sounds of people and the activities they love.

COLUMBIA — There's no secret catch in Bill Rapp's free golf lessons for children.

Every Tuesday from about 4 p.m. until dusk, Rapp offers golf lessons at no cost at the Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville for anyone up to 18 years old  interested in learning how to swing a club. There's no ball charge or fee for using the facility.

Kids from cities as close as Columbia and as far as Kansas City attend the lessons, Rapp said.

"The lessons are free, but the quality is exceptional," he said.

Supervising editor is Derek Poore.
