Two injured after shots fired on West Worley Street

COLUMBIA — Two people were injured Saturday night after shots were fired on the 300 block of W. Worley Street, according to a Columbia Police Department news release. 

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 11:37 p.m., where they found the two victims, the release said. The first victim, a 26-year-old woman, was sent to the hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. The other victim, a 17-year-old girl, was grazed by a bullet but did not need to go to the hospital.

Upon investigating the scene, officers found 29 shell casings and two unspent bullets.

The suspect is still at large and the investigation is ongoing.
