The Columbia Community Band's performance at Stephens Lake Park Amphitheater on Thursday included trumpet and xylophone solos. The show is part of a free concert series being held through September at the amphitheater.

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Community Band performed Thursday night as part of the monthly Stephens Lake Park Amphitheater Concert Series. The ensemble, which formed in 1981 with around 20 members, has grown to 70 volunteer musicians.

The concert series is free to the public, which makes it a popular summer attraction for many Columbia residents.

Supervising editor is Landon Woodroof.
