Robert Hunt served in U.S. Army, enjoyed deer hunting

COLUMBIA — Robert "Bob" L. Hunt of Columbia died Saturday, July 12, 2014. He was 63.

He was born April 14, 1951, in Columbia to L.B. and Anna (Coleman) Hunt. He married Michelle Houk on June 11, 1988.

After graduating from Hickman High School in 1970, Mr. Hunt enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he was trained in a mechanized infantry unit and served in Germany for two years. Mr. Hunt worked for Tincher Auto Service, Martin Auto Service and Albert Motors and retired from Fletcher Honda in fall 2013.

Mr. Hunt was a lifelong resident of Columbia and enjoyed deer hunting, NASCAR and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife, Michelle; a daughter, Kellie Ann Boyes, and her husband, Davin, of Independence; a son, Nicholas Robert Hunt, and his partner, Michelle Hubbard, of Lincoln, Mo.; three brothers, Bernard Hunt, and his wife, Jan, Earle Breedlove, and Eddie Breedlove and his wife, Linda, all of Columbia; and four grandchildren, Jake and Jaden of Independence and Riley and Hailey, of Lincoln, Mo.

His parents, L.B. and Anna (Coleman) Hunt; a brother, William Donald Breedlove; and a sister, Ruth Breedlove Davison, died earlier.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. There will be a service with military honors at 2 p.m.
