COLUMBIA — The co-founder of a youth triathlon team will be taking her coaching to Stephens College. The school announced Nancy Yaeger as head coach of the cross country team on Monday.

"She has a very kind and motivated personality, a great background of training athletes of all ages and ability levels, and a clear passion for running," senior cross country athlete Emily Mendoza said in a news release. Mendoza served on the search committee for Yaeger's hiring.

Yaeger, a Kansas City native and MU graduate, co-founded the Tiger Endurance Company and is an active athlete herself. She finished at Ironman Florida in 2012 and Ironman Racine 70.3 in 2013 and is currently training for Ironman Canada 2014.
