Columbia police seek man in Super 8 armed robbery

COLUMBIA — Columbia police responded to an armed robbery in progress at a Super 8 hotel at 7:27 p.m. Saturday night, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

According to the release, a man demanded cash from the check-in counter employee at gunpoint at the hotel's 3216 Clark Lane location. The man obtained an undetermined amount of cash from the register before running away.

No one was injured in the robbery, and the perpetrator is still at large. The investigation is ongoing.
