COLUMBIA — Paquin Street will be closed at College Avenue from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Crews from Columbia Water and Light will install an underground conduit, according to a Water and Light news release.

The construction will also cause an estimated six parking spots to be closed between College Avenue and Matthews Street, said Connie Kacprowicz, a utility spokeswoman. Closed meters will be clearly marked, and a tent will be placed over the manhole on Paquin Street.

The construction can be avoided by turning west onto University Avenue from College Avenue and then turning right onto Matthews Street to Paquin Street.  The detour is shown in the map below.

Supervising editor is Seth Klamann.
