COLUMBIA — Gale D. Stone of Frontenac died Monday, July 21, 2014. She was 70.
She was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Key West, Fla., to Warren and Ruth (Galey) Welliver.
She married Bill Stone on Jan. 22, 1967, in Columbia.
Gale is survived by her husband, Bill Stone, of Frontenac; a daughter, Jordan Maddex, of Omaha, Neb.; a grandson, Chase Warren Maddex, of Omaha, Neb.; her mother, Ruth Welliver, of Columbia; a sister-in-law, Katherine Barton and her husband, Clay, of Lee's Summit.
Another survivor of the household is her feline companion, Beauregard.
Her father, Warren Welliver, and two sisters, Carla Stone and Christy Welliver, died earlier.
There will be a brief graveside service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Episcopal Church, 123 S. Ninth St. In the near future, a celebration of Gale's life with uplifting conversation and chardonnay will be held in Clayton.
