Saturday, July 26, 2014 | 4:17 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Citizens will have the opportunity to speak with candidates in the Aug. 5 primary election at a public forum hosted by the NAACP on Tuesday evening.

The forum will start at 7 p.m. at the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 702 Banks Ave.  All candidates have confirmed they will be in attendance, Mary Ratliff, Missouri's NAACP president, said.

The purpose of the forum is to allow people to ask candidates any questions they may have.

The NAACP holds a candidate forum before every election, Ratliff said.

Supervising editor is Joe Guszkowski.
