COLUMBIA — Three separate incidents of shots fired were reported in central and north Columbia early Saturday, and a man went to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to a Columbia police news release.

The first incident occurred around 1:35 a.m. at Sidelines Sports Bar located at 701 Big Bear Blvd. Officers heard shots coming from the area and found several shell casings in front of the bar, according to the release.

The second incident occurred at 2:17 a.m. near AutoZone, at 716 Business Loop 70, and Tom's Imports, at 1206 Coats St., where officers found several shell casings.

In both cases, there were no reports of injuries.

At 2:34 a.m. police responded to a third report of shots fired near the 1400 block of Avatar Court, the release said. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a window shot out of a car and a trail of blood leading to a residence in the area. Although officers did not find anyone injured inside, a local hospital reported having a 27-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries who was identified as the gunshot victim from Avatar Court, the release said.

There is no suspect information available for any of the three cases and no arrests have been made, according to the release.

Anyone with information on any of the three incidents is asked to call Columbia Police Department at 573-874-7652 or Crime Stoppers at 573-875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
