COLUMBIA — The Missouri Rattlers 18-and-under fastpitch softball team finished second in its weekend tournament at Kansas City, according to coach Gary Ennis.

The Rattlers went 9-2 at the six-day United States Specialty Sports Association World Series. They scored 106 runs and allowed 27 over the 11 games, Ennis said.

The second-place finish comes after a third-place finish in 2013.

The tournament concludes the season for the Rattlers 18U team.
