COLUMBIA — West Briarwood Lane will be closed to replace a water drainage pipe south of Ivy Way beginning Aug. 11.

The street will be closed so the Storm Water Utility Division can replace a failed storm water drainage pipe, according to a Columbia Public Works news release. The construction is slated to begin Monday and end by 5 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting.

Vehicles will not be able to drive on West Briarwood Lane south of Ivy Way, although access will be maintained north of Ivy Way, according to the release. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Supervising editor is Seth Klamann.
