COLUMBIA — With the SEC Network launching on Thursday, Mediacom subscribers in Columbia will miss at least the opening of the new channel.

A Mediacom customer service representative said Wednesday that the company is still in negotiations with the network and that a deal won't be reached before the 5 p.m. launch.

The SEC Network will broadcast various sporting events in the conference, along with team-by-team breakdowns, replays of classic games and other coverage of the conference.

Missouri's Sept. 13 game against Central Florida will air on the station.
