COLUMBIA — A 21-year-old woman was killed in an accident Monday afternoon on Interstate 70 at the 111 mile marker in Cooper County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Taylor Wilson, of High Ridge, was traveling eastbound when her Volkswagon Beetle struck the rear of a tractor-trailer that was stopped in traffic. Traffic had backed up because of an earlier fatal accident at the 120.4 mile marker.

Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and there were no passengers in the vehicles.
