COLUMBIA — Detailed descriptions of the two remaining suspects in the Friday robbery of Bank Midwest in Moberly will not be released until police there can make them as accurate as possible, Sgt. Russell Tarr said Monday.

The Moberly Police Department continues to follow leads from the FBI regarding the whereabouts of the robbers.

A 25-year-old man police said drove the getaway car before it was abandoned near a cornfield at Highway 22 and U.S. 63 has been arrested. Police have not released his name.

Witnesses reported seeing three people entering the car at the scene of the crime, and at least one person, who remains unidentified, ran into the cornfield, Sgt. Paul Reinsch of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in an earlier report from Aug. 22.

Tarr said Moberly police will issue a news release with more details about the robbers  as soon as sufficient facts are available.
