Battle volleyball falls to Union

UNION — The Battle varsity volleyball team dropped its season opener to Union High School in two sets, 25-17 and 25-11.

Leading the way offensively were senior Kennede Coleman with four kills and sophomore Michaela Karrick with five assists. Senior Josie Anglin added 13 digs defensively.

The junior varsity team will compete next in the Montgomery County JV Tournament at Montgomery County High School on August 30. The varsity team will host Lebanon on Sept. 2.
