Missouri volleyball opens season with sweep of Mississippi Valley State

COLUMBIA — The Missouri volleyball team opened the season Friday with a dominant 3-0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-17) win against Mississippi Valley State at the North Texas Invitational.

The win is the Tigers' 35th consecutive regular season win, and its seventh consecutive season opening win.

Senior Emily Wilson led the team with 10 kills.

Sophomore Loxley Keala had 20 assists, four kills and two aces. Freshman teammate Ali Kreklow, who is battling for the same starting position, added 13 assists.

The Tigers will play again at the invitational at 1 p.m. Saturday against Northwestern State and at 7 p.m. against North Texas.
