DENTON, Texas — The Missouri volleyball team didn't lose a match until the NCAA Tournament last year. This season hasn't started as well for the Tigers.

Northwestern State upset No. 15 Missouri 3-0 at the North Texas Invite on Saturday in Denton, Texas. The Tigers (1-1) snapped a 35-game regular season winning streak.

The games scores were 25-19, 25-19, 25-22.

“This was a tough one for us today,” Missouri coach Wayne Kreklow said. “We have to give credit to Northwestern State, they came out and played really well and we weren’t ready to go. The challenge now is how we come back against North Texas tonight in what we know will be a hostile environment.”

Missouri will play North Texas at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
