Mizzou women's soccer defeats SMU

COLUMBIA — The Missouri women's soccer team defeated the SMU Mustangs 3-1 on Sunday night in Dallas.

With the win, Missouri redshirt senior goalkeeper McKenzie Sauerwein is now the school's career wins record holder with 36.

The Tigers out-shot the Mustangs 22-10 with Reagan Russell opening the scoring less than nine minutes into the match, followed by two more goals scored by freshman Savannah Trujillo in the 51st and 87th minutes.

The Tigers have their first home match at  7 p.m. Friday against Northwestern. The game is scheduled to be broadcast live on the SEC Network.
