COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge High School girls tennis team posted a 6-3 victory in Thursday night's dual match contest with Notre Dame de Sion (Kansas City) to improve to 7-0 this season.

Rock Bridge started off slowly, with Phoebe Boeschen, Faith Wright and Tess Lovig losing the first three singles matchups for the Bruins. The team would rally to tie the match following victories from Hannah Pohl, Katherine Dudley and Ronni Farid. All three Rock Bridge singles wins came in straight sets.

In the doubles series, Boeschen and Lovig rebounded from their earlier defeats to give Rock Bridge its first lead of the night. Wright and Dudley then defeated Catherine Henne and Devon Graham to ensure the victory, after which Pohl and Farid clinched a final win to end the match. The Bruins outscored Notre Dame de Sion 24-6 overall in doubles play.

Rock Bridge's next match will be against city rival Hickman High School at 4 p.m. Monday.
