A second suspect in a vehicular shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning has been arrested by the Columbia Police Department.

Myron Gervas Daniel, 23, of Columbia was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, police said in a press release.

The shooting occurred at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday after two vehicles engaged in what police are calling a drag raceon Providence Road near Stadium Boulevard. After exchanging racial slurs at a stoplight, the driver of one vehicle began chasing the other, police said.

The passenger in the vehicle giving chase fired at least two shots toward the other vehicle, police said.

Daniel was released from Boone County Jail after posting $5,000 bond at 2:54 p.m. Thursday, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department said.

Marcus Fisher, who police said they believe was driving the vehicle, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony assault and property damage. He had been released after posting $10,000 bond.
