Here’s a look at election results elsewhere in Boone County. A total of 16,900 ballots were cast, representing 17.3 percent of registered voters.
City elections: Alan C. Bauer won a two-year term as mayor, and Mike Asmus, Trenton Thomas Blair and Michael P. Jackson each won two-year terms on the Ashland Board of Aldermen. They’ll represent Wards 1, 2 and 3, respectively. All the candidates were unopposed.
Southern Boone County R-1 Board of Education: Biff W. Barner and William Jay Powell won three-year terms.
City elections: Shelley Becker, Alan M. Denk and Don Bagley, all unopposed, won two-year terms on the Centralia Board of Aldermen. They’ll represent Wards 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Write-in candidate Robb Rosenfelder won a one-year term as a Ward 3 representative.
Centralia R-6 Board of Education: Patt Olsen and Mike Van Maanen won three-year terms.
City elections: Carl M. South won a two-year term as mayor, and Stephen D. Smith and John T. Darby won two-year terms representing Wards 1 and 2, respectively, on the Hallsville Board of Aldermen.
City elections: Jeanette Crawford, John Thomas, Laura Kays, Nancy Grant and R.J. Tyler won one-year terms on the Hartsburg Board of Trustees.
City elections: Junior Carter and Pam Timmermann, both unopposed, won two-year terms on the Harrisburg Board of Trustees.
Harrisburg R-8 Board of Education: Cindy Roller and Brent Voorheis, both unopposed, won three-year terms.
City elections: Dallas Lancaster, David Williams and Walter H. Mensch won two-year terms on the Huntsdale Board of Trustees.
City elections: Lucille Coleman and Marvin Sapp, both unopposed, won two-year terms on the McBaine Board of Trustees.
City elections: Helen Easley and Todd Schapira each garnered 19 votes for Ward 1 alderman, while Gayla Neumeyer, who was unopposed, won a two-year term as Ward 2 alderman.
City elections: Danny Ray Joiner and Deanna S. Jacobs won two-year terms representing Wards 1 and 2, respectively, on the Sturgeon Board of Aldermen.
Sturgeon R-5 schools: Rhonda Richards and Robert Stone won three-year terms on the Sturgeon school board, and voters approved a 68-cent increase in the school district’s property tax levy.
Public Water Supply District No. 4: John Cathey won a three-year term as director of Subdistrict No. 2.
Public Water Supply District No. 10: Arthur Heath and Donald Dean won three-year terms as directors of Subdistricts 1 and 2.
