Mid-Missouri falls again on the road

The Mid-Missouri Mavericks lost to the Springfield/Ozark Ducks 8-5 on Saturday in Springfield, Mo., in a Frontier League game.

The Ducks took a 7-2 lead after scoring three runs in the second inning, three in the third and one in the fourth.

The Mavericks (0-2) scored three in the seventh.

The Mavericks lost the season opener 5-2 on Friday night.

The team will have a “Get Acquainted Party” on Monday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Twin Lakes Park with players, coaches, office staff and host families.
