Terrance Smith had 24 points to help Columbia College beat host Illinois-Springfield 93-68 on Thursday to improve to 13-10.
Smith was 9-for-13 from the field and 5-for-6 from beyond the 3-point line. Nahowan Saxon finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Aaron Edwards, Andreas Jakobsen and Tim Melz also scored in double figures.
Columbia College made 57 percent of its 3-point attempts and pulled down 17 more rebounds than the Prairie Stars
The Cougars next game is against Missouri Baptist at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Arena of the Southwell Complex.
