Undercover agents with the Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control on Sunday arrested Zachary Riley, 36, and Autumn Cox, 41, on charges of operating a nightclub, the Corn’s Lake Bar in rural Boone County, without a state liquor license.
A court date has been set for Feb. 24 for a misdemeanor charge of selling alcohol without a license.
Agents also seized cash and business records in the early morning raid at the property, located at 6870 E. Mexico Gravel Road.
Liquor control agents were aided by Boone County Sheriff’s deputies, who arrested a patron of the business on charges of possession of marijuana and the drug Ecstasy.
Bill Alton, a special agent with the division, said his agency had been investigating the business for several years.
Complaints from local residents prompted the most recent investigation, the department said in a news release.
