Fusion Brew fanatics will soon have to look elsewhere to get their dose of bubble tea in Columbia.

Vinh Tran, the owner of Fusion Brew, will be closing the store June 30. He said he finalized a deal in May to sell the Fusion Brew concept to a man in Bloomington, Ill.

The bubble tea and espresso cafe opened two and a half years ago in the District at 808 E. Broadway.

Tran said business has been too slow to stay open, and he has decided to pursue other business ventures in real estate.

As the only business in Columbia that sells bubble tea, many customers are sad to see it go.

Jen Strouss, a frequent Fusion Brew customer who works in the District, said she is sad about having to find another place to get her chai teas and iced coffees.

Tran said he hopes his customers will keep visiting during the last weeks of the business.
