Daniel Boone All-Stars fall short at regionals

The Daniel Boone National League All Stars from Columbia lost to Harney from South Dakota 2-1 at the Little League Baseball Midwest Regional Tournament on Tuesday.

Daniel Boone National will be eliminated from the tournament if Harney defeats Hillside from Nebraska today.

The tournament began Aug. 5, when Daniel Boone National defeated Hillside 15-0 in four innings.

Daniel Boone National then lost 2-0 to Davenport Nortwest from Iowa on August 6.

Daniel Boone National also lost 7-0 to Baxter Springs from Kansas on Monday.

The regional tournament is held at Stokley Field in Indianapolis, Indiana.

State champions from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota are competing in the tournament.

Daniel Boone National captured the State District Title in Clinton, Mo., with a 6-0 record.

The regional final will take place on Friday.
