The Kewpies beat Boonville 25-15, 25-19 on the road Tuesday night and improved to 3-0 on the season.

Jenny Keener led the team with four kills and a block and Meg Ann Schlader had three kills and a block, but it wasn’t the Kewpies’ offense that excited coach Greg Gunn.

“The girls played really good defense,” he said.

Jessie Kemble led the charge with 11 digs and Meredith Scheneman had 10. Hickman next plays at home against Jefferson City on Thursday.
