The Blue Note will host a Hurricane Katrina relief concert on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Joe Lewis of the band Soulshine has family missing and is housing evacuees. He worked with Richard King of the Blue Note to put together the concert, featuring the bands Echelon, Buttercup Speedway, Fluid Drive, Mile 48 and Soulshine.

In lieu of admission, the bands are asking for donations. All proceeds will go to the Salvation Army to help victims in Mississippi.
