Senior preparedness program slated

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the City of Columbia is holding a workshop for senior citizens on how to prepare for a disaster and how to volunteer to prepare for and help recover from disasters. The workshop will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 28 at the Activity and Recreation Center on 1701 West Ash St. The free event is open to the public.
