Columbia Police and the U.S. Marshals Service are searching for a 22-year-old man wanted in Florida on suspicion of murder. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Randy Demarco Carter has family and friends in Columbia and might be in the area, Columbia police Sgt. Ken Hammond said.

Carter is described as a 6-foot-3-inch man weighing approximately 230 pounds, and he is thought to have short hair.

Police are asking anyone who knows of Carter’s whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
