Woman robbed at gunpoint, police say

A woman was robbed on the 900 block of Spencer Avenue at 7 p.m. Saturday, according to Columbia police.

The woman told police that, after entering her car, she was approached by three men. According to the Police Department, the men pointed a handgun at the woman and stole her purse, then fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

The incident is under investigation, with no new developments as of Sunday afternoon, according to Sgt. Daniel Beckman. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 875-8477.
