Edward Baldo, known affectionately to his wife, Joan, as “Eddie,” was born and raised in the Gentilly area of New Orleans. At age 82, Baldo had lived at 5165 Warrington Drive for 53 years. After Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in September 2005, his possessions were waterlogged by the levee breach at the London Avenue Canal just a block away. Yet, the life that Baldo and his family left behind remains in place in the destroyed house more than a year later.
