MU women’s golf loses spots in tourney

The MU women’s golf team fell to 14th place after a 311 in the second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate at the Anthem Country Club in Henderson, Nev., on Tuesday.

Junior Madde Augustsson, senior Stephanie Wavro and sophomore Ellen Hoeper are among a group of seven golfers tied for 48th place with a 36-hole total of 152. Hoeper had a round of 77 on Tuesday, the best round of the day for the Tigers.

Sophomore Chelsea Schriewer is in a tie for 54th at 153 after shooting a 79 on Tuesday. Freshman Julia Potter is tied for 58th place at 154.

Oklahoma State has opened up a large lead in the tournament, with a two-round total of 572 which is nine shots ahead of second-place Arizona State with one round remaining.

MU WOMEN’S SOCCER: Six members of the Missouri women’s soccer team received Academic All-Big 12 Conference honors, as announced by the league office Tuesday. Three of Mizzou’s six honorees are repeat selections.

Seniors Lauren Grice and Meggie Malm and sophomores Janelle Cordia and Lindsay McCoy earned Academic All-Big 12 first-team honors while senior Aria Hudetz and sophomore Mo Redmond made the second team.

Grice and Malm are now first-team selections for the third consecutive season. It is also Hudetz’ third selection.

MU MEN’S BASKETBALL: Applications for tickets to the 26th annual Busch Braggin’ Rights Illinois vs. Missouri Basketball Game at Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 8 p.m. are now available.

Only a limited number of seats are available for sale to the general public. Tickets will be available to the public through mail-in lottery only. No other public sale will take place.

The Busch Braggin’ Rights ticket application will be available on the Scottrade Center website, scottradecenter.net, beginning 10 a.m., Saturday. All ticket applications must be mailed to the Scottrade Center Box Office and postmarked no later than Wednesday, Nov. 15. A random drawing will be held and winners will be notified no later than Wednesday, Nov. 29.

There is a limit of two tickets per person. All available seats are mezzanine level and are $45 each. A $2 per ticket facility fee will be added to all tickets. All other tickets to this game are sold through the respective universities.
