Snow closures and openings

The Friday evening performance of "Bending Towards the Light: A Jazz Nativity," presented by the Odyssey Chamber Music Series, has been canceled. The show will go on as scheduled at 7 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Tickets are $10.

Missouri All-State Band, All-State Orchestra, and All-State Jazz Band Auditions scheduled for Saturday, December 2 have been cancelled.

The State Farm Tiger Classic women’s basketball tournament championship games will be held Sunday after the Missouri men’s game against Evansville at noon. Missouri women will meet either Alabama A&M or Eastern Illinois at 3 p.m. and Creighton will play the remaining team at 5 p.m.

Columbia Regional Airport is closed until further notice. All flights have been cancelled.

Residential Solid Waste Services (including trash, recycling and yard waste) collection are canceled.

Commercial Solid Waste Services are canceled but will resume as soon as possible.

The landfill is closed today.

Due to weather, the 30th Annual Christmas Bazaar and Chili/Soup Luncheon scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to Saturday, Dec. 9. 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. "Santa's Gift Shop" and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. luncheon; $6; Wilkes Boulevard United methodist Church, 702 Wilkes Boulevard.

OPEN on Saturday

Columbia Transit Buses were expected to begin starting this afternoon. One bus on each route would run starting at 1 p.m. from Wabasha and 1:30 p.m. from the mall.

The ARC is open.

SHOPPING

Gerbes Supermarket: Nifong Boulevard location open until further notice. Paris Road location open except for floral, pharmacy, deli and video.

All Wal-Mart stores are open regular business hours today.

Columbia Mall was scheduled to open at 1 p.m.

VIDEO STORES

9th Street Video: open until further notice.

Blockbuster Video: (Clark Lane); open as of noon.

EATING ESTABLISHMENTS

Domino’s Pizza is currently open for pick-up. They are expecting to start delivering in a few hours.

Papa Johns Pizza: Broadway location was expecting to open for pick-up after noon. Forum Boulevard location open for pick-up.

Bambino's Italian Cafe is open and is delivering, but only on a case by case basis depending on the location.

Uprise Bakery on Broadway.

Bangkok Gardens on Cherry Street.

Starbucks on Ninth Street.

Lakota Coffee on Ninth Street.

Booches on S. Ninth Street.

Panera on S. Ninth Street

Chipotle on S. Ninth Street

Outback Steakhouse on I-70 drive

Boone Tavern on E. Walnut Street.

Chili's Bar and Grill on Conley Road is open until 11 p.m.

Osaka Japanese Restaurant Sushi Bar & Hibachi Steak on Nifong Boulevard.
