1:25 p.m.: Chase Daniel just hit Danario Alexander with a 74-yard touchdown pass to give the Tigers a 17-14 lead.

At the top of section five in Sun Bowl Stadium, the Oregon State fans were still upset about the previous play. Missouri tried to run a trick play with wide reciever Tommy Saunders taking a lateral and throwing it to Brad Ekwerekwu. Ekwerekwu and an Oregon State defender both made contact with each other, but no penalty was called.

"It was a penalty," said Rick Phillps, an Oregon State fan from Phoenix.

When it was suggested that Missouri might not have scored had a penalty been called, Phillips had a short answer.

"Probably not," he said.
