Columbia police officers responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Hanover Boulevard and Olympic Boulevard around 7 p.m. Saturday, according to a Columbia Police Department release.

In the release, witnesses said there was a white vehicle in the area when the shots were fired. It was last seen traveling south on Olympic Boulevard, leaving the scene before the arrival of police.

The make of the vehicle and identity of the driver could not be described, the release said.

Officers found evidence of shots fired, but no victims have come forward, according to the release. As of 2 p.m. on Sunday the Police Department is still looking for more information, witnesses and victims.

Police ask that anyone with information call CrimeStoppers at 875-8477.
