Thursday, July 26, 2007--On one of the final evenings before closing for restoration, the Missouri Theatre was packed with an estimated 250 guests plus forty symphony musicians and their staff for the Ala Carte event, a Missouri Symphony performance followed by a feast of dishes from all over the world prepared by Symphony musicians and volunteers.

Columbia- Members of the Missouri Symphony prepare dishes from their various homelands to the culinary delight of the public. In years past, the food, made available after a concert of chamber music, has represented traditional cuisines from countries such as Georgia, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Slovakia and Moldova. Last year, some of the countries were Brazil, Taiwan, Korea and Germany.
