Obama best candidate to represent Missouri

Monday, August 6, 2007 | 12:00 a.m. CDT; updated 3:24 a.m. CDT, Tuesday, July 22, 2008

As one of four Missouri Democrats elected statewide, it is my responsibility to help ensure that the Democratic Party nominates a candidate for president who will best represent Missourians.

I announce my endorsement of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama. I encourage all Missouri voters to join me in supporting him.

America needs a leader who can inspire us to be better in every way. Barack Obama is a once-in-a-generation leader who will bring this country together like we haven’t seen in over 40 years. Obama is running a campaign that is about more than Democrat or Republican — listen to him and you’ll hear a message of coming together as a nation to solve our common problems. Look at his record and you’ll see a history of working with people of all kinds, focusing on common purpose instead of perceived difference.

Electing Barack Obama is about more than race or gender or class. I’m endorsing Barack Obama because he represents America as it can be, America as it should be. After nearly eight years of partisan politics trumping good government, the stakes are too high for any of us to sit on the sidelines.

We must look deep into each candidate. Look at their integrity, values, stand on issues and their persona. Are they really from the people and for the people. You will see a huge contrast between HRC and BO and EDDY. I cant vote since I am not a citizen but I feel the same disgust as most people who love this country. There is a lot more than charm in Obama. He is a man of substance and talks stright facts to us much to the amusement of the ESTABLISHMENT. But did we not give all of them enough time and yet they disappointed us. I wish you look into his judgement in the following clips

Unlike HRC who is the best flip-flopper, EDDY who plays into the trial lawyers agenda and union agenda. That's because he has no other support. He is a true lawyer (read as liar) as evident by his poverty talk and takes $400 cut. If no one reported it, he would have gone with more. What did he do with all the cases he won. He kept most of it from the patient who deserved it and kept a huge chunk of the millions to himself. True pioneer of POVERTY PRINCIPLES. Now that he has all the millions, he needs what all men want: POWER.

POLLS: Mainstream media (MMM) always like to write about someone (Read as Hillary) and look forward to that candidate to win. Thats the way the business is for them, and they earn their credibility. But if you take a look at people and who they like, the response is the same- Barack Obama/ Barry Obama as some affectionately call him. I am sure in the long run, people will really se him for who he is. I dont necessarily agree with him on all things. I am against abortion and fundamentally believes that there is a blessing on this country due to the strong principles of the founding fathers.

Its very remarkable for me to see that blacks dont like one of them aspiring to make a difference. If I was a black, I would shout loud that this man can make it and give hope to many young blacks. He encourages them to apply more on education rather than basketball and drugs and hip-hop. Not because I am racist but becos he is the only candidate that is admired by people from all walks of life and all races. Indeed whites have more faith in him than blacks. Thats a shame and I hope the african americans must eduate their own to see who this guy is and that he can be a forerunner to a big change. Think for a moment, on Jan 9 what a message will be sent forth when BO is elected. Then we have defeated the first foe in racism as a historical phenomenon but the war is still to be waged. One battle does not finish a war. We can look at a man for being a human and not by color.

This is a slogan that I found and it rightly describes the hope and so Missourians we have hope.
