Bruins golfers third at Crusader Classic

The Rock Bridge girls’ golf team finished third out of 12 teams Monday at the Crusader Classic at Meadowlake Country Club in New Bloomfield, shooting a 354. Helias of Jefferson City won the event at 328.

Meghan Mueller was the top scorer for the Bruins with an 86, losing a playoff for sixth place. Kayla Burri shot 91 for Rock Bridge.

The Bruins’ scramble team of Sam Sheehan and Jane Erdle managed a second place finish, shooting an 87.

The Hickman girls’ team finished eighth at the same tournament at 382. Ashlee Daly recorded the highest score for the Kewpies with an 84, putting her in third place, five shots behind top finisher Stepha­nie Bruemmer of Helias.
