Parents have opportunity to preview sexual abuse prevention materials

Parents of children in Columbia’s public elementary schools will have two opportunities to preview sexual abuse prevention materials that will be used in this year’s curriculum.

The first meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for parents of kindergarten through second-grade students and at 7:15 p.m. for parents of third through fifth-grade students. It will be held at Shepard Boulevard Elementary School, 2616 Shepard Blvd.

The second meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for parents of kindergarten through second-grade students and 7:15 p.m. for parents of third through fifth-grade students. It will be held at Russell Boulevard Elementary School, 1800 W. Rollins Road.
