COLUMBIA — Columbia police are looking for three people who robbed a man by gunpoint on Park Avenue Friday night.

At about 7:54 p.m., a 23-year-old man from Overland Park, Kan., was walking back to his car parked in the 1000 block of Park Avenue when three men, one armed with a handgun, approached him and demanded money, according to a Columbia Police Department release. After the victim gave the suspects money, they ran northbound away from the area, the release said.

The suspects are described as black men between 17 and 20 years old and of medium build. One was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and black jeans and had a silver handgun. The other two were wearing a blue-and-white striped shirt and black jeans and a red-hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.
