Andrew Denney's Profile
Andrew Denney is a 24-year-old senior from St. Joseph, Mo., which is about an hour north of Kansas City, Mo. He transferred to MU from Missouri Western State University in 2006, and is a major in both print and digital journalism and Political Science. He plans to graduate May 2010.
Andrew worked at the Columbia Missourian during the summer 2009 semester and worked on the public safety beat, and will continue to work on the beat during the fall semester. From the time he began his tenure at MU, Andrew spent six semesters working for The Maneater, and spent the last two of those semesters working as the paper's City, State and Nation Editor. He also worked on the paper's summer issues in 2007 and 2008. While at MWSU from fall 2005 to spring 2006, Andrew worked for two semesters at The Griffon News, the school's newspaper. While in high school, Andrew worked at radio stations KMA 960 AM in Shenandoah, Iowa and KKJO 105.5 in St. Joseph, Mo.
Andrew enjoys reading, basketball, cooking, playing guitar and writing.
