Amy Backes's Profile

Amy Backes is a senior studying print and digital journalism and Spanish. She is covering the Missouri men’s and women’s basketball teams for the 2011-2012 season. She also covered the Missouri volleyball team as a beat reporter in fall 2010. She interned at her hometown newspaper, The News Tribune in Jefferson City, as a general assignment reporter during the past summer. She was studying abroad in Spain when its national team won the World Cup in 2010 and celebrated by jumping in a fountain with the locals.
