Greg Mitchell's Profile
Greg is a senior print and digital news student from Park Ridge, Ill. He chose Mizzou and the J-school because of its excellent reputation and history.
Greg worked as a public safety reporter at the Missourian during the 2008 fall semester. Though he enjoyed the beat, especially stories involving the court, he is looking forward to being a member of the public life beat for the 2009 fall semester. During the summer of 2008 Greg interned for legendary Chicago broadcaster Art Norman at NBC5 Chicago (WMAQ). He also interned for the Web Department of NBC5 that same summer. Prior to college, he spent two years as sports editor and one year as editor-in-chief of Southwords, the student newspaper of Maine South High School.
Greg is a big fan of Chicago sports teams, including (unfortunately) the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoys staying active, writing fiction, and traveling.
