Hannah Cushman's Profile

After a full semester of reporting on the enhanced enterprise zone, I've put on a different hat: assistant city editor, or ACE. It is my personal mission for the summer to bring a love of city government to the newsroom — or die trying.

There's a ton of information whirling around out there. I feel that it's my role as a journalist to sort it out, verifying what I can and dispelling what I can't. Journalism may no longer play gatekeeper to news but, at its best, it continues to safeguard truth.

When I'm not sitting at a computer as big as I am, you can find me pulling perfect shots of espresso as a barista at Lakota.
